Busking

Busking

Buskers will be dotted along Main Street amongst street stalls and shops on the Saturday and Sunday. To celebrate all of the arts we encourage all forms of ‘entertainers’ to apply – mimes, magician, singers, poets, street performers (such as living statue), musical performance, puppeteering, street art (such as sketching and painting) etc. Buskers will add to the Main Street atmosphere, and provide entertainment to the spectators throughout the day.

Busking will commence at 9am on Saturday (8th June) and Sunday (9th June). Finishing before the Street Parade at 1:30pm on the Saturday and before the Car Show presentations at 1pm on the Sunday.

Buskers wishing to participate at the 2019 Henry Lawson Festival are required to fill out the application form and submit it to the Busking Co-ordinator.

Limited spaces will be available and will be awared on a 'first in first served' basis. .

Buskers are scattered throughout Main Street from right up the top to right down the bottom, so make sure you walk the full length of Main Street to see all the buskers on show.

They are judged in the morning and their prizes are awarded from the main stage in the afternoon after the procession.

Don't forget that you don't have to be a musician to enter! The busking competition is open to all kinds of busking! Poetry, dance, circus arts, drama...the list is endless! So get creative and get performing!!
