Mount Oriel homestead is a unique part of Australia's heritage. The existing homestead was built over, and incorporates the original single-storey brick building on the site. This was the home of George Henry Greene, local landowner, grazier, and politician, after whom nearby Greenethorpe is named. Iandra was listed on the NSW Heritage database in 2004. Restoration is slowly being carried out as funds are available. Iandra is only open six times throughout the year so don’t miss this fabulous opportunity to inspect part of the regions history.
Iandra Castle is generally open to the public on the Sunday of the longweekend from 10am to 4pm. Entry is $15 adults, $10 children. Parking is onsite - drive in through the main gate, and you will be shown where to park.
Bring your own picnic basket and have lunch on the lawn, under the trees, or on the veranda.
