The busking is a popular addition to the festival program with many competitors vying for the top prize. The buskers are scattered throughout Main Street from right up the top to right down the bottom, so make sure you walk the full length of Main Street to see all the buskers on show.
They add to the Main Street atmosphere, and provide entertainment to the spectators throughout the day.
They are judged in the morning and their prizes are awarded from the main stage in the afternoon after the procession.
Don't forget that you don't have to be a musician to enter! The busking competition is open to all kinds of busking! Poetry, dance, circus arts, drama...the list is endless! So get creative and get performing!!
All busking takes place between 9am - 2.30pm on the Saturday of the June Long Weekend.
