The Children’s Art Competition is open to students from schools within the Weddin Shire including Grenfell and our surrounding villages of Greenethorpe, Caragabal and Quandialla. Children’s art is used to decorate shop windows in Grenfell’s Main Street. The theme of this year’s competition is "The illustration of an Australian poem relevant to the Life and Times of Henry Lawson." The art can be in any medium including pencil, crayon, texta, charcoal, pen and ink, drawing, painting or collage. This is a great chance to see the creative works of some of the shires children and possibly the early work of a future festival art statuette winner.
