We warmly invite you to come along to Poetry on the Boards and read or recite your favourite poem or just sit back and enjoy the morning's poetry feast. This event lends itself towards Bush Poetry, Humorous Verse and Performace Poetry and we award a trophy for the Best Poet on the Day.

We invite you to bring your verse along and a friend or five to join fellow festival goers in a non competitive poetry roundup. The perfect way to kick off your festival Saturday. Hosted by Bob Mc Millan. Bob is fresh of the back of his successful Henry Lawson Tribute Shows 'A Yarn with a Mate' in Wingham and Taree NSW and we anticipate Bob will inject snippets and anicdotes of Hery's life, loves and losses that we are sure you will enjoy.

There are a few simple stipulations:

• Poem performed is not to exceed 6 minutes
• Poets are permitted to read or recite a favourite poem
• Can be original material
• A maximum of three poems per performer (if poets have more than one poem these are not to be performed consecutively)
• We also ask that poets be mindful that this is a family friendly environment

We guarantee you will enjoy this entertaining morning, it’s a great way to kick off your festival Saturday.
