Festival Queen

Festival QueensThe Festival Queen Competition is a long running part of the festival program. The Queen Competition is an opportunity for local clubs to fundraise for their cause and it is also an opportunity for local residents to practice skills such as public speaking and to showcase their knowledge and skills to the community and festival attendee’s audience.

Over the years many thousands of dollars have been raised by the Queen Competition. There are two queens awarded at the festival, the Charity Queen which is for the queen and her organisation who raises the most money in the lead up to the festival and the Festival Queen which is judged on general presentation and knowledge of Grenfell and the Festival’s history.

The queens will attend various events over the festival and can be identified by their sashes and rosettes.
